A generative ambient patch meditating on the infinity of the Universe. Four-voice exercise. Extensive variety of sounds, so it can be listened to for hours without repetition, sometimes happy, some times pensive, sometimes sad.

XFX Wave (Blamsoft) for pad, Macro Oscillator 2 (Audible Instruments) for plucks, FS6 (docB) as high-pitched lead, and finally Random sounds (JW-Modules) added.

Pluck and lead alternate randomly. Macro Oscillator 2 modes are changed occasionally, creating variety. Random gates generated using RndG (docB). Note pitch variety originates in three phase-shifted sine LFOs, leading to random 3-note chords (triads). Polyphonic pad envelopes created with AD/ASR Envelope Generator (Venom). RndC (docB) for general modulation.

Main scale is C major, with small variations, introducing a subtle sense of tension and release.

Compressor (VCV, premium) is used during streaming/recording for loudness. It can be replaced with any compressor or left out entirely.

The Sombrero galaxy (M 104) lies at the southern edge of the rich Virgo cluster of galaxies. It is a massive object, equivalent to 800 billion suns. The galaxy is 50,000 light-years across and located 30 million light-years from Earth.
