Entry to Saturata’s #PatchMutationChallenge, freely mutating a given patch starting out from Marbles (Random Sampler, Audible Instruments), Plaits (Macro Oscillator 2, Audible Instruments), Clouds (Texture Synthesizer, Audible Instruments) and Quantizer (VCV).

Plaits was kept and addressed polyphonically with three notes forming triads/chords, individual ADSR envelopes and octave randomization. Moreover, Model selection was randomized in a confined range.

Marbles was substituted by a set of modules based on RndC and RndG (both docB) with frequency control modulation.

Texture Synthesizer was replaced with Nimbus (Surge XT), which is another incarnation of Clouds.

Two more voices were added: Vocals from Maya (Voxglitch) and a lush polyphonic pad (Pad, docB).

Compressor (VCV) was used during recording for loudness, but removed from the patch thereafter. It can be replaced with any compressor or left out entirely.

Eta Carinae (η Carinae, η Car), is a system of at least two stars with a combined luminosity greater than five million times that of the Sun. It is approximately 7,500 light-years from Earth. Eta Carinae underwent a Great Eruption in 1837 to become the second brightest star in the night sky by 1843.
