update to https://patchstorage.com/best-friend/
the main update was to add keyboard tracking to the LPF which turned out to be far more complicated than expected due to the way i designed the first iteration – polyphonic voices/panning which summed to stereo before the filter section (so i could use monophonic filters). simply changing the filters to polyphonic brought up a whole host of new issues (mono CV signals, CPU overload. etc). CPU overload specifically forced me to optimize the main VCOs.
changelog for sorting the issues:
– removed most of the summing modules
– changed all of the necessary CV signals to polyphonic
– changed HPF from Venom Multimode Filter to a stereo pair of Vult Stabile
– changed LPF from Nozoid 68_VCF_MOD to a stereo pair of Vult Lateralus
– added LPF keyboard tracking on/off + half/full
– added Vult Debriatus pre-VCF
– changed VCOs 1 & 2 from Audible Instruments Macro Oscillator 2 to Surge XT Classic VCO
– expanded OSC 1 & 2 tabs to accommodate all of the new controls + added Sync Inputs to Aux Ins 3 with CV attenuators
– changed Slop controls quite a bit to make them more focused on each individual section, rescaled them for better control and fixed an attenuation issue
– moved Pan tab under Glide to keep the UI compact
i forgot how useful key tracking is and imo this opens up the playability a lot. changing the oscillators to the surge xt classic vco also added a ton of new sounds due to the inclusion of the unison voice switch (1/9 Voices on the UI) + voice detuning (supersaws!)

sounds awesome
