CITIZEN 17 – Cinimatic Ambient Patch in VCV RACK

This patch blends structure and chaos — a clean, sequenced FM bassline runs in parallel with a feedback-driven FM drone that behaves almost like a distorted guitar.

The main bassline FM-Op stays dry and goes straight into the mixer, forming a stable tonal foundation. The second FM-Op is routed into Clouds and Plateau through Prince of Perception, creating a feedback loop that evolves into shimmering, unstable overtones and noise-like textures.

A random signal passes through an Offset module to limit the CV range, then into a Quantizer, keeping modulation musical and controlled while still unpredictable. AddrSeq and LFOs drive subtle movement in pitch and timbre, maintaining that sense of anxious momentum.

⚠️ Be careful with the feedback loop — it can easily overload. Always use a limiter at the end of your signal chain to protect your ears and speakers.
