I revoiced this Dimension program for the last time with specific reference to this video (voice 3/4 from 2:00 to 2:08). https://youtu.be/FyH5mLIhjpc?t=121 There was still too much chorus in my last effort so I dialed that out. Although this basically just one sound, I’ve added some ranges. Optionally, you could also add some Swirl (using the H90 performance switch) for some motion.
Obviously, this program adds a lot of reverb and detune. Neither is in the pedal but both are used with Dimension on virtually every recording you’ve ever heard.
A real dimension thins out your tone a bit. Here, Aux #5 toggles between two Lo Cut settings that approximate that thinning.
When run in stereo, a real Dimension has a dramatic stereo widening for that fantasy ice castle sound. Obviously, that’s gone when run in mono. Since Tricerachorus is only capable of modest stereo widening, this program doesn’t quite have the same 3-D effect. But it is pretty good in stereo and I doubt there is any difference in mono.
FYI, The closest Eventide factory preset I could find was Summer. And, that’s pretty close too.
Please note that none of the Boss Dimension pedals are Eventide products and that Eventide has no affiliation with Boss whatsoever.
Some boilerplate points:
The H90 will drive headphones with a guitar alone if you turn the P Out Gain hotknob to +12dB. So I always set that as the first/left-most hotknob where it is always within reach.
My signal chain often includes a UAFX (I hate them) amp sim as a stereo insert, and a pair of headphones straight out of my H90. Naturally, some programs may sound bad if uses with another amp sim or no amp sim at all. Also, this program was created using the middle toggle position of a Les Paul. Please expect to adjust to taste.
IF YOU HEAR NO SOUND, it is probably because you have not wired up at least one insert device. Bypassing the stereo insert (within “routing”) will likely solve the problem.
This program uses the hotswitches, an expression pedal, and aux switches #4, and #5. My expression pedal is globally linked to P Hotknob. So the P Hotknob functionality is intended to be expression pedal functionality.
And, many thanks to the geniuses at Eventide. The H90 is an absurdly rich resource and powerful tool.

Thank you for sharing this! It sounds gorgeous with my strat and stereo amp setup. I’m in chorus heaven right now. Tonal perfection.
it”s an amazing pedal!
I hope i can use this on my bass! :-)
Wow, that’s some serious dedication to nailing that Dimension sound! The detail you’ve gone into is impressive. I totally get chasing a specific vibe – sometimes it’s like you can hear it in your head and have to recreate it. I know the feeling of tweaking and tweaking until it’s perfect. You mentioned that Aux #5 toggles between two Lo Cut settings that approximate that thinning. Honestly, that thinning gives me vibes of being eaten in Agario. One minute you’re big and strong, and the next, poof, you’re gone. Anyways, thanks for sharing such a thorough breakdown!
Wow, this deep dive into tweaking the Dimension program is fantastic! The detailed explanation of handling reverb and detune, plus the stereo widening aspect, is super insightful. I can almost hear that “fantasy ice castle sound” just reading about it. Play at: Solar Smash
