Wavefolded VCF Feedback

UPDATED: Mistakenly distributed a Zip file of the screenshot, and not of the .spt file! Sorry!

Wavefolding abounds here – okay only twice :-). To keep things simple I haven’t modulated the folds or symmetry in this patch.

Standard synth line up but with wavefolded VCO saw out into a 24dB/oct VCF and a VCA with a shared ADSR. A final VCA is used for velocity sensitivity before going to a BBD module for delay and a lo-fi’ish reverb from the Wasted Space module.

The main point of interest is the use of the VCF feedback loop. Rather then using a VCA/ADSR in the loop. This uses the 48dB/oct out into a wavefolder and back into the feedback input.

The effect of the VCF emphasis (resonance) varies with audio level in and frequency setting. Sometimes the wavefolding effect (in terms of folds and/or symmetry) on the emphasis can be subtle or quite pronounced.

This particular patch’s settings are more suited to Tangerine Dream like sequences.
