In this video, I build a super minimal ambient synth patch in VCV Rack using only narrow, compact modules — ideal for slow evolving textures and vintage sci-fi vibes.

At the heart of the patch is ChordCV, generating slowly shifting chords. A sample-and-hold voltage from NYSTHI’s Random module modulates the root note, attenuated with Bogaudio Offset. A tiny Bogaudio LLFO modulates chord type, inversion, and voicing, creating subtle harmonic drift.

The sound source is a Squinky Labs Basic VCO playing a pure sine wave, volume-contolled by another Offset. A simple low pass filter, 2D delay by NYSTHI, and Galaxy Reverb by Sapphire Modules create space and warmth
