Rings Clouds Chaos 1

This patch uses two VCOs cross FM modulating each other using their modulation inputs (CV2) and triangle outputs. In addition the primary VCO has its pitch (CV1) modulated by a Random Voltage source.

The primary VCO’s sine wave output goes to a Rings resonator in sympathetic strings mode. The structure (altering frequency ratios between strings), and position (excitation position) are each modulated by a random voltage (note that slew limiting is not used). The odd and even harmonics go to the left and right channels of Clouds.

Clouds is used to add granular like flavour before being output.

The resulting sound is rather like a number of random string scrapes, clicks and whooshes. Possible ghostly fragments of reversed converstions.
