C4MOUFL4G3

More in the lava lamp department this time it’s the animated perlin noise section. With a color palette selection not entirely influenced by historical wartime camouflage patterns. Knob5 cranked all the way puts it all into audioreactive overdrive!

C4M0UFL4G3 Control Breakdown (Operational Parameters)

🎛️ Knob 1:
Function: Controls Tile Size.
Behavior: Inverted. Turning the knob down (counter-clockwise) will increase the tile size, making the grid coarser. Turning it up (clockwise) will decrease the tile size, making the grid finer.

🎛️ Knob 2:
Function: Controls Noise Scale.
Behavior: Determines the “zoom level” or frequency of the Perlin noise pattern. Turning the knob up increases the scale, leading to more detailed, turbulent patterns. Turning it down decreases the scale, resulting in smoother, larger-blob patterns.

🎛️ Knob 3:
Function: Controls Base Scroll Speed.
Behavior: Sets the fundamental speed at which the noise pattern scrolls across the screen. This base speed is amplified by audio input, meaning louder audio will increase the scroll velocity, adding dynamic responsiveness.

🎛️ Knob 4:
Function: Controls Z-axis Evolution Speed.
Behavior: Governs how quickly the Perlin noise evolves along its “depth” or Z-axis dimension. This creates the “morphing” or “growing” effect. Turning the knob up makes the pattern evolve faster; turning it down slows it.

🎛️ Knob 5:
Function: Controls Color Palette Selection / Random Mode.
Behavior:
Direct Selection: For most of its range, this knob directly selects from the loaded color palettes (both external and default).
Random Mode Activation: When the knob is turned very high (approximately 97% or above of its range), the system enters Random Palette Mode. In this mode, the palette will automatically cycle through all available palettes at a rapid interval (currently 0.2 seconds), providing a continuously shifting color scheme. Also throws in additional audioreactive parameters for THE WORKS!
Random Mode Deactivation: Turning the knob below the random mode threshold will return to direct palette selection.

❗ Trigger Button:
Function: Cycles Movement Direction.
Behavior: Each press of the Trigger button (or detection of a high audio threshold if audio is selected as the trigger source) will advance the scrolling direction through a predefined sequence: Right, Left, Down, Up, Down-Right, Up-Left, Down-Left, and Up-Right. There is a short cooldown to prevent rapid, accidental changes.
