Stream Of Unconsciousness

Here’s an update on my generative midi rack Stream of unconsciousness. You get random streams of notes that can be locked into a 2 to 16 step pitch-sequence. You have some control over the density of the stream, the pitch range and velocities. You can quantize the pitches to one of 36 scales or set a custom scale or set possible pitches via midi input. And you can push the notes towards the grid according to the BPM of your project.

1.1 Update – now with 12 Scales to choose from

Nice! You have been dropping some hits man. I also have been adding a lock function to loop randomness in some of my stuff. Super cool.

@zzziszach Thanks! Yes random loops are cool, did you also use the shift register, or how did you do it?

I’ve been using sample and hold, a bunch of them that only get addressed at like one note in a measure., and I used a layer switch to sequence them

@zzziszach That’s cool, could be nice with Bernoulli gates between the triggers and the s&h to have some slower evolution and for deciding which part of the sequence is more likely to mutate.
