Insert Mode Program. Configured for Series Routing (default) or optional Parallel Routing. Program MIX 45-55% (via EXP1). PolySynth into UltraTap. Programmed for stereo use.
Electro-mechanical comping synth, loaded with tape transports. Room ambience with moving walls, then patched into a modular system. Enhance the “spider crawl” keyboard technique by lightly tapping on selected strings to mute.
EXP1 sweeps Program Mix, PolySynth Cutoff, Env Amount, Env Sens, LFO Dest, LFO Rate, LFO Shape and Spread, with UltraTap Mix, Length, Taps, Feedback, Manual Chop and Width. EXP2 (optional) sweeps PolySynth Detune, Play Style to Hybrid, and Pitch Wheel for a down octave glide (saved at Heel).
All three HotKnobs are pre-programmed for making fine adjustments to several of the effects. Customize the sound, using these variations:
* [P] HotKnob (+/-) – change Polysynth Shape 2 + UltraTap Spread & Taper [default = 50].
* [A] HotKnob (+/-) – adjust PolySynth Shape 1 & 3 [default = 10].
* [B] HotKnob (+/-) – change UltraTap Chop (Type) [default = 65].
PolySynth MIDI:
* CC#73 – Attack
* CC#71 – Resonance
* CC#72 – Release
Other options include momentary or latching PolySynth FREEZE and a one second pre-delay for synth separation. HS1 effectively defeats the PolySynth, leaving the EXP1 “room warping” as a foot-controlled modulation effect.
