The Detune is a low-quality stereo pitch shifter. It can be used for the sort of detune effects found on multi-effects. It will create a widening effect but wont ‘swoosh’ like a chorus.
This effect was very popular in the 80’s with bands such as Boston and Judas Priest, but Ozzy Osbourne is also known for using detuning on his vocals.
