Lux

The date is 3th of October, 2021. A rainy Sunday in Luxembourg and the perfect excuse to dive into ZOIA.
“Lux” is a generative patch driven by 3 sequencers, which are clocked by 2 different LFOs, and it is processed with shifting delay lines, a hall reverb, a cab sim, a couple loopers, and a granular module.

This was also the day I decided I wanted to start experimenting with generative patches to find some sort of performative actions I could include within for live shows. The first page is dedicated to some controls: Filter (cutoff), filter resonance, sequencers’ speed, time shift (for the delay lines), audio output with gain control, grain size, position, density, and texture.
And there’s also some on/off buttons for loopers’ send, looper reverse, granular send, granular freeze, and a “reverb max” that slowly ups the hall reverbs’ decay and mix.
All pages and controls have been named accordingly.

You can listen to “Luxembourg”, a track created with this patch for my album “Self-created Destinations”.
