BBC Radiophonics Workshop (mini version)

A mini version of the famous BBC Radiophonics Workshop (Dr. Who, etc.). It’s sort of based on the 1963 version of the studio (BBC link to equipment list: https://www.bbc.co.uk/rd/publications/bbc_monograph_51).
I setup a main control area in the middle with 5 volume sliders and control knobs for creating sounds.
1. 1st Oscillator
2. 2nd Oscillator
3. Wobbulator (which is a Sine wave controlled by an LFO)
4.Ring Modulator
5. Noise

To the right are 2 Tape machines. The 2 tape machines go through a mixer and into the MASTER TAPE machine. The tape machines have lots of options, but basically just press the REC button on TAPE 1, move your sliders and knobs and make some sounds, then press REC button again to stop.
Do the same thing next with TAPE 2.
Then press REC on the third tape machine (TAPE MASTER) and press PLAY on TAPE1 and TAPE 2 and play with the speed controls, create wobble by grabbing the tape wheel. etc.
Also, you can RIGHT CLICK on the middle of the tape machine and you’ll get a list of options for splicing.

Thanks for assembling this masterpiece of ‘modernist’ sound recording studio set up!
It puts my humble tape set ups to shame. I usually only manage 2 rows of modules before I feel overwhelmed!

I actually had to think about the setup for a couple of days. Then I had to read up on the equipment and techniques. Then I had to kind of guess at things. I’m going to roll out a few more versions of this patch with more modules.
