Verb Smoosh

EDIT: Heck sorry gang, I seem to have uploaded a version of this from before I added some of the stuff I said it does, so here it is it should actually work as advertised. I’ve also added three pixels on the bottom right of page one that are flashing at the tap tempo and the subdivisions, just for a little visual. Also there is now a pitch control on page one for the kick sound.

This patch is built around twin delay lines that run through reverbs before feeding back on themselves so the reverb builds on each repeat.

The delays are tied to a tap tempo on the left switch and the subdivisions can be altered independently for parallel delays.

Also tied to the tap tempo is a simple kick drum sound, made with an oscillator and a little noise. The kick can be switched on with a button on page one and will swell in gently. There is also a midi clock out module, so if you connect the midi out of Zoia to another midi-ready delay you should get a pretty good sync (tested with chase bliss thermae) or obviously you can use it to sync to whatever you want. There is a midi clock in module as well, but I haven’t fine tuned that operation yet.

The patch works fine in standard mode, but if you enter performance mode (Hold down center and right footswitch until shift button turns aqua) you will access functions on the other two footswitches: The right footswitch becomes a switch for the kick sound (swell in and out exactly as before) and the middle switch becomes a chaos switch, maxing out the delay feedback while you have it pressed down. I still have a little fine tuning to do on that one but it’s kind of fun.

You should have almost all your controls on page one:

The bottom three rows of page one are dedicated to controls, you will find value buttons that tie to other parameters in the patch. The dry/effect mix is achieved with separate values for those, there is a feedback level, and a reverb mix (turn this value up for kind of a cool sounding reverb, or down to hear the delays a little clearer before they devolve into mush)

The one parameter you won’t find on page one is delay subdivisions, you will find those in the clock dividers on page 3. I’m still working on an elegant way to control those. Have fun and let me know what you think! I’d love to see any alterations you make.

There’s a link to a demo, the sound is exclusively this patch, no other effects are running.
