VCV Rack #56 Anura

The music I make just sounds horrible to my ears. I hope your ears don’t fall off while listening to it. I have the small midi controller “AKAI MPK mini”, which I rarely use. I thought about connecting it in VCV rack and using it for performance exercises. The little one has 8 knobs and 8 pads, or 16 pads if you press the mode change button. The pads and keyboard keys are pressure sensitive, but you can’t use them productively because they don’t work reliably. I simply used the velocity signal to create a vibrato effect. The stronger you press a key the faster the sound vibrates. To mute some mixer channels I used the pads. Thereby the pressure sensitivity had to be deactivated on the midi controller, because the MIDI-MAP module apparently only expects min and max values for the on/off status. In this patch the new modules from Modular Fungi “Light-Off” and “Opsylloscope” were also used. I just wanted to try them out after I saw that with the other VCV-Rack users. The link to the patch download will be attached, maybe someone can use it. The little melody at the beginning of the video I played on the midi-controller, so it is unfortunately not available as a sequence in the patch. But you can play a melody by yourself if you want, you just have to configure your midi controller in the MIDI-CV module. :)

Thank you, that’s very kind of you. Even if my patches don’t sound so nice to me, it’s still a lot of fun working on them. Well, I hope that with more practice and experience, the fun of listening to my own music will eventually come too ^^ ‘.

The piece is great and really cool, and I would be glad I could do something like that. But I wonder where the sequence between minute 0:50 and 1:38 comes from. I can’t see it anywhere in the patch or the mixer. Is it played separately and mixed in later?
