In one of my last patches “VCV029 Horse Power” I tried to generate cricket sounds. In this patch I wanted to continue experimenting with this kind of sounds. That doesn’t sound so good yet. I think there is still a lack of surround sound and the noises still sound relatively digital. I left it like this for now, maybe I will come back to it sometime. I thought I’d practice making music with a ready to go patch. Therefore I took the layout of the mixer like in VCV031. Somehow the recording sounds overdriven, even though the mixer knobs are quite low. This is strange. I wonder if it’s because I’m connecting them in series. I also noticed that the sound from my speakers sounds different than with my headphones and with other headphones it sounds completely different again. The low and high frequencies sound sometimes like this and sometimes like that, depending on the output source. I wonder how the professionals manage to get a normalized sound. Probably these people used to work a lot more with the spectrum analyzer.
