This module takes an Alternating Signal (AS, -1 to 1) input and phase inverts it.

It is generally less useful for use with Direct Signals (DSs, 0 to 1), because inputs on modules that accept negative numbers are generally expecting an AS.

If you want to phase invert a DS, use the -DS module.
