This is a slightly polished version of my prior “22 Clean and Dirty Blackface Tones”.

These SIMPLE insert mode programs use a blackface tonestack approximation instead of an amp sim. While you can substitute in an amp sim or some such, I just plug my guitar and headphones (or stereo) into my H90 and play. Also, a fistful of these programs could get you by as an H90-only backup rig in a pinch. You could also bypass the EQ to use these programs with a regular guitar amp.

I made this list as simple as possible. No aux switches are used. Developer notes describe each program. Basically, every program has a clean tonestack and either delay or reverb. They are generally ordered from effect-sparse to effect-dense with two sounds per program/algorithm (but two programs do have four sounds). The most important controls are assigned to the six Quick Knobs on the face of the H90.

The programs were created using the middle toggle position of a Les Paul. You can start there and try other pups if the middle position sounds bad.
