Sequenced Mutes

I was trying to sequence the mutes on the Mental Mixer. After a failed attempt using the Octoflop, I Googled flip flops and found the perfect solution- the SR AND-OR latch which I implemented using the Mental Logic module. You need 2 trigger rows per instrument- one for on and one for off.

The input to the mute on the mixer is on when the input is high and when the input is low the button determines the state of the mute.

you can use the gatemaker to make gates that stay open for a specified clock count.

interesting use of the logic module

theoretically you could build a computer with enough logic and other modules.

you can also use a sample and hold as a latch.

I’m going to have to read up on Boolean logic and see if I can find some other useful logic gates that can be applied to music.

I want to double the length of the song which means I have to double the number of trigger sequencers or halve the clock speed. The downside of the first option is probably CPU hit,, and the downside of the second option is that you can only make changes 1/2 as often(16 bars in this case), but you should be able to get around that with a trigger delay clocked at double the speed or higher.
