Test preset for Osmose to validate the Mahling Additive data set is installed properly (it will do the same for Continuum as well).
Instructions:
The default Additive Data set (Mahling phrase) can on occasion disappear or become unavailable and needs to be restored on Continuum. This is easy to test for on Continuum as the Mahling system presets output the vocal phrase “If you ever have a feeling that you wanted to go, and still have a feeling that you wanted to say.”
These presets are not included on the Osmose however, though the Osmose does have some presets that use the additive bank such as “Choir Additive”.
This additive test preset removes the additive indexing from the “Choir Additive” preset and replaces it with a simple shape generator based ramp that should output the phrase on both Additive banks using the controls that exist. If you press a key before Aftertouch and you do not hear the phrase, it is likely that your Additive data set needs to be rebuilt. On Continuum this is done by rebuilding the QSPI data set in the Utilities section, but it’s not clear the Osmose uses this same technique or if the Osmose even has this issue. Please contact Expressive E Osmose support if you think the additive data set is not installed correctly.
Note that you can play with the Macro Controllers on this preset and they will have an affect, only now it will be on the Mahling phase, not the vocal sound used in the original preset.
Thanks for this, works perfectly
