Hackey guitar poly synth mod — a mod of Mitch’s excellent patch

One of my patrons, Brock Davisson, aka brockstar, (I’m sure you know him and if you don’t, check out his social media for some truly badass guitar-playing/ambient composition) asked for a mod to Mitch Lantz’s excellent “Hackey Guitar Poly Synth,” so that it could have a wet/dry mix. I ended up doing a few more things, too, and then I got Mitch’s approval to share the mod.

Check out Mitch’s original patch here: https://patchstorage.com/hackey-guitar-poly-synth/

Changes:

— In stereo now (before the ins and outs were stereo but the signal path was mono); pitch detection and envelope follower still derived from the left input.

— Two new controls on the front page, both quite value modules (look for two white blocks in a row)
* Resonance: the filters didn’t have resonance before. Now they have a resonance control (that is curtailed to make the resonance not too extreme/gain-y). This gives a little more “range” to the sound.

* Mix: the wet/dry mix. Fully wet is a little louder than the fully dry side.

— The middle stompswitch is now a momentary octave up. There’s a slew limiter after it to give it a bit of a “whammy” feel when you use it. But if you just wanted to be able to switch between normal and octave up, you could change the stompswitch module to latching; it should be easy to see, both the slew limiter and the stompswitch were added to the front page, so it should light up when pressed.

No demo. Maybe Brock can upload something, nudge nudge etc.
