This module converts an Alternating Signal (AS) to a Digital Signal (DGS).
There are two outputs for each input – this is because the conversion is based on a threshold value (set by the knob). When the signal is under the threshold, the left output goes high (outputs a 1), and when the signal is over the threshold, the right output goes high.
You can switch the orientation of under/over with the button, or by addressing the input under the button with a DGS.
